Award-winning polymath artist, producer, director, and designer, Brandon S. Phillips specializes in immersive world building through film, experiential art, live entertainment, and spatial design.
2023 National Academy Of Recording Arts & Sciences (Grammys) Member, Founder of 144WORLD STUDIO, his polymathic practice fuses experiential curations with public installations, solo exhibitions, screenwriting, filmmaking, music/ live performance direction/ illuminated performance stage design.
Guided by a deep reverence for image, sound, and spectacle, a system thinker using form to innovate, his work has been described as a "building of mythologies", "a convergence of worlds", by industry peers with an ability to "synthesize ideas, and innovate with intention", and signature approach integrates kinetic design, architecture, technology, light, sound, and movement to craft transformative, 360-degree environments and narratives that resonate emotionally and sensorially, expanding how we perceive space and connection. Phillips' work often materializes through monumental stage design, sculptural design, and scenographic environments that invite audiences to physically enter and inhabit new worlds.
Holding a Master’s degree in Arts (Live Entertainment) from the University of Miami, a Bachelor’s degree in Media, Film, and Art Studies and Associate's Degree, his career launched at prestigious record labels Atlantic Records and Warner Music. Gaining early experience in crafting cultural global conversations in production, music and entertainment ecosystems, Brandon has spent the past decade collaborating across creative arts, design, entertainment and broader fine art industries.
Driven by innovation, cultural hybridity and syncretism, phillips' cross-disciplinary portfolio collides cultural languages into fully immersive experiences, where traditional and emerging forms expand, through distinct worlds of narrative architecture, multimedia innovation, and large-scale artistic expression on a global stage.
